Ideal Inventory
Ideal Inventory is a local-first inventory manager designed to keep your records under your control. It does not run ads, does not use cross-app tracking, and only connects to a cloud provider when you choose to sync or share an inventory.
Ideal Inventory stores the information you enter so the app can work: warehouses and other storage locations, item names, categories, tags, quantities, notes, purchasing instructions, access notes and codes, saved places, photos, videos, and related change history. This information is stored on your device and is not sent to a developer-operated server.
Your inventory document and media are saved in the app's local storage. Local data remains on the device until you edit or delete it, remove the app and its data, or use operating-system controls that affect app storage.
If you enable sync, Ideal Inventory uploads your inventory and associated media to the cloud provider you select: Apple iCloud, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or Dropbox. The data is stored in your account or in an inventory shared with you and is handled under that provider's terms and privacy policy.
Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox connections use the provider's sign-in page. Ideal Inventory does not receive your password. Access and refresh tokens are stored in your device's Keychain. iCloud access uses the Apple account configured on your device.
When you share an inventory, the selected cloud provider receives the invitee email address and permission level needed to send and manage the invitation. The app may display and locally store membership or invitation details returned by the provider. Shared inventory data, including access notes and codes, can be available to participants according to the permissions you grant.
Photos, videos, and files are accessed only when you select them for an item or storage location. They are copied into the app's storage and, if sync is enabled, uploaded with the inventory to the selected cloud provider. Exported or shared files go only to destinations you choose.
You can search Apple Maps or choose a point on a map to save a warehouse, acquisition place, or supplier location. Place names, addresses, and coordinates you save become part of your inventory and may sync or be shared with it. Map searches and place lookup are provided by Apple under Apple's privacy terms.
Ideal Inventory does not include advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking. If you choose to share diagnostics with app developers through Apple device settings, Apple may provide crash or diagnostic reports under Apple's own privacy terms.
You can edit or delete inventory records in the app and disconnect a cloud provider at any time. Disconnecting does not itself delete copies already stored by a cloud provider or on another participant's device. Use the provider's controls to remove remote files, shared access, or account data.
Apple, iCloud, Apple Maps, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox, and any export or sharing destination you choose are governed by their own privacy policies. Ideal Inventory interacts with these services only when required by a feature you use.
Ideal Inventory is a general-purpose inventory tool and is not directed to children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-operated service.
This policy may be updated from time to time. When changes are made, the revised policy will be posted here and the last-updated date at the top of this page will be changed.
